About Us

-Mike De La Vega is the founder of Zeist Armories.  Mike perfected the construction method that Zeist is known for and it's his vision that drives Zeist forward.  He proudly served in the US Coast Guard for years.  Mike was an instructor of Shotokan Karate, practiced Capoeira, Kickboxing, Yoshitsune Jujitsu, Crav Magra, a former sparring partner of Tony 'The Freak' Fryklund, a mixed martial arts fighter & is one hell of a model American! (that last part I made up)

-Jose De Braga is a visionary & legend.  His art & edged weapons have been used in feature films and are coveted by collectors world wide.  Most notably, he is the man who designed and created the swords used by the stars of Highlander 3.  His redesign of the Connor/Masamune Katana is touted as the most detailed and beautiful of all the Highlander swords.  He designed the demon sword of Kane and has won the respect and praise of fans world wide. 

Jose has agreed to work with Zeist Armories to bring you never before offered versions of the iconic film swords and some exclusive sword lines that will only be available here.

-Benjamin DeLeon is a  former Mixed Martial Artist as well as a traditional Martial Artist, having studied Akido, Tai Kwon Do, Kickboxing and finally achieving his Black Belt in Karate as well as a Blue Belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.  He has participated in many challenge matches during his time in the US Army, having an unblemished record when he was discharged.  He has studied the Japanese sword for years and jumped at the chance to work with Zeist Armories. 

-Brian Kent is a Mixed Martial Artist and personal trainer.  He has practiced Kuk Sool Won, but mainly considers himself a mixed martial artist & Muay Thai fighter.   He brings his energy and passion for swords to Zeist and has proved to be an invaluable asset.
